Oliver Stone On Some Of His Experiences In Vietnam, Fascism And Communism

Audio is from the commentary track for Heaven and Earth. There is in the background some muffled audio from the movie itself, some of which is aggressive, but low in the mix.
It starts with some anecdotes from his Vietnam experiences, and while the flow and tone of Oliver Stone’s voice is very smooth and pleasant, perhaps some people just looking to relax will find listening to this part unpleasant because of the harsh imagery discussed. Skip to 4:28 if that is so. On a sidenote, I actually believe that Stone is somewhat sedated during this part of the recording.
At 4:28, the tone gets talkier and more neutral, and he goes on a lengthy lecture about fascism, communism, propaganda, economics and politics. I find this part engaging and informative as well.
Finally at 18:37, he recounts an emotional mother-daughter dialogue scene.
